National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month is recognized in September.

During this month we engage in efforts to raise awareness about suicide in hopes that increased education in prevention will aid in decreasing the number of deaths by suicide. We seek to better understand how to support the millions of people who face suicidal ideation.

This month, we also look to acknowledge those families, workplaces, and communities impacted by suicide. Your EAP would like to highlight information published by SAMSHA, NIMH, and the CDC. These credible sources of information and resources may be viewed to positively contribute to your awareness and prevention efforts.

Please take some time to review these resources and share them with your co-workers, family members, and others in your community. For more information or consultation, contact the FOH EAP at 1-800-222-0364.
